How to Check Your Uber Rating

Every Uber rider has a rating. It is the average of the scores drivers give you after each trip, based on your last 500 rides. The rating helps keep the community safe and respectful for everyone.

Finding your rating takes just a few seconds. Here is how to do it.

See Your Rating

Your rating is easy to find right on the main screen of the app.

  1. Open the Uber app.
  2. Tap the Account icon (it looks like a person) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Your rating is the number shown right under your name. It will be something like 4.85 out of 5.

If you do not see a rating yet, you probably have not taken enough trips. Uber starts showing your rating after 5 rides.

Want a Detailed Breakdown?

You can see exactly how many drivers gave you 5 stars, how many gave you 1 star, and everything in between. Here is how:

  1. In the app, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Privacy Center.
  2. Swipe to the tile that says "Would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber?" and tap it.
  3. Scroll down to the "Browse your data" section and tap "View my ratings."

You can also review past trip details, payment history, and control marketing preferences all in the Privacy Center.

How to Improve Your Rating

A good rating can lead to faster pickups and a better experience overall. Even Uber's CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, works on his rating. In a May 2026 interview, he shared his own score of 4.83 and said he is trying to reach 4.9. The average rider rating is 4.89. Here are his tips, plus advice from drivers:

Why Your Rating Matters

Your rating is a reflection of how you treat drivers and their cars. Drivers can see your rating before they accept a ride request. A very low rating might make it harder to get a ride, as some drivers may choose to decline requests from passengers with a history of poor ratings.

Uber has also announced that riders with consistently low ratings or those who violate the Community Guidelines may lose access to the platform. Maintaining a good rating helps ensure a smooth, positive experience for both you and your drivers.

Starting in 2026, Uber is also rolling out a verified badge for riders. If you verify your identity, drivers will see a badge on your profile, which can make them more likely to accept your trip. You can complete verification by having Uber cross-check your account details or by uploading an official ID and a selfie.
