Mendoza Taxi Fares Explained

Mendoza city taxis run on an official meter that starts with a bajada de bandera and then adds fichas as the car moves. The Municipality of Mendoza reviews the tariff schedule, so the meter amounts change when a new ordinance takes effect.

Normal city trips are charged by meter distance plus waiting time; drivers do not quote a separate flat fare for standard rides. Airport runs from El Plumerillo use the same taxi meter, with any published airport or luggage charge added at the end.

Radio-taxi dispatchers take bookings by phone or WhatsApp, and some Mendoza operators also use app-based requests. Fares are in Argentine pesos, and the current tariff card should match the meter at the start of the ride.
