At Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), taxis use fixed zone-based pricing rather than meters. Fares are per vehicle, include the toll road fee, and usually fit up to four passengers. Official taxi booths sit outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Airport taxi booths typically operate 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and prefer cash in USD or pesos. Pre-booked private transfers offer 24/7 service with flight monitoring and often cost less than official airport taxis. Uber is not permitted to operate at SJD.
In town, traditional cabs also lack meters, so you agree on the fare before riding. A trip between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo runs about $60–$70. Short hops like marina to nearby beach fall in the 250–300 peso range.
